Are you sure you want to go with the 205/40-17's, i've always thought that was a size more suited to trackdays than road driving. Although 205/40 are a lot cheaper, they will look like an elastic band round your wheels, with large gaps between tyre and wheel arch.

I have 215/35/18's on at the minute so i will be fine with them, ive paid now anyway.

Guy on ebay based in Macclesfield sells Yokahama Parada Spec 2's at £62.50 each fitted balanced the lot

Went down today for 2 - £20 in fuel well worth it!!!

Even let me use there gear to swap front to back when they were fitting the tyres!!

Or £59-75 + £5 delivery!

Quick point - cheap tyres are usually false economy! Goodyear Eagle F1s are very very good and last a long time The pound to mile ratio means that they are actually incredibly good value!

It's true - the Pirrelli P6000s that came on my TT laster 30,000 miles before needing replacing.

They may be more expensive, but I did get about twice the wear out of them.

Nankang NS2s are decent budget rubber but not used on a MINI yet.
Make sure it's NS2s not NS1s you get tough. Former are ditch finders.

I'm off to get 4 ns2's fitted at lunch today

need the front two runflats replaced but im taking the whole lot off for normal tyres dont fancy mixing the two types

getting all 4 fitted and balanced for 200 quid at the local garage in bellshill

good deal i thought
