I'd go with Federals, but you knew that

Can i just add that on those rims, they have been split all the way around inside and out and then GLUED back together.

How mental is that, got robbed in a way but they were only £160.

Im still looking its not really worth the effort to get them off the net as when they get delivered most places ask for a £15 fitting fee and that make them the same price as getting them from the garage that would be fitting them anyway.

ScottyBoy,
Try valuetyres.co.uk and look at the Goodyear Eagle F1s. Not a budget tyre, but they're worth it. You should only pay £75-80 a pop so it's not that much more...

Thumbs up Kumho

I've been very impressed with Kumho ECSTA SPT KU31 in size 205/55-R15 88V on 15-inch OEM 7-hole alloys. I've left a few posts singing their praises here and there after mad brummie recommended the tyre to me. This tyre is great in the dry and just phenomenal in the wet - it really is the best wet weather tyre I've ever driven on. Cheap and an excellent tyre!
Kumho ECSTA SPT KU31
This tread and compound is also available in 205/40-ZR17 84Y, which I guess would be your fitment.

All the best,
Andrew.

Im running Eagle F1's on my Dares at the moment 215/35/18's and they are awesome but i want to try a different tyre this time, i have a price for Yoko Parada spec 2's of £300 and Vredestein Sportrac 2's which are more expensive on the web for £250.

The others im looking at are

Avon ZZ3
Falken ZE512

Depending on the price. I dont think its worth the money to buy tyres on the web as the price is usualy around £15 cheaper but most tyre places were i live are asking for £17 per inch to fit so the price is the same anyway.

I can get a real cheap tyre for £160 fitted for 4 but im looking at a better tyre now instead. all depends on money and i have a few sales going through at theminute so we will see.

I've just recently bought a set of 4 Avon ZZ3's, and think there a great tyre for the MINI. There quite, they give good ride comfort and they feel grippy in the wet and dry. I bought mine in the 205/45-17 size.
A good place to buy Avon tyres from is tyreshopper, link below. Then have them fitted at any National Tyre and Autocare center you choose.

By the way, Falken are replacing there ZE512 tyre, with the ZE912.

I wanted to stay with the stock 17" tyre size that the runflats came in .

Are you sure you want to go with the 205/40-17's, i've always thought that was a size more suited to trackdays than road driving. Although 205/40 are a lot cheaper, they will look like an elastic band round your wheels, with large gaps between tyre and wheel arch.
