Offline | I do not know if you can get them over MINI. I have ordered them at a tire dealer here in munich. Price is around 170-180 Euros per piece. It depends if they should mount them already on the car. This was a special price. Regular price from Dunlop is 224 Euros !!! Cooper S DS/white Opt: auto. Offline | I have to admit those tyres look totally great for hi-speed driving like you can do! Being H rated, is the tread compound relatively hard, say compared to an S rated ice tyre? And match the car better than 15" wheels/snows that I'm getting. Have fun! Jet Black MCS Lapis leather 17s or 15s (winter) no DSC |

Offline | The speed rating does not affect the softness of the compound. Higher speed rated tyres have a stronger carcass. Offline | sure do we need winter tyres in munich. Are you a new resident here in munich ?? Wait for the winter..... Also you need it for the insurance company if you will have an accident in winter. When you do not have snow tires you have to pay 50% !! Cooper S DS/white Opt: auto. AC, Leather Panther Black, Navi, Xenon, Sunroof, CD Boost, 17' S-wheels, DSC |

Offline | I was referring to a "hydrophilic" snow/ice trye-none which are above an S rating such as a Blizzak or Nokian Hakkapellitta Q. These tyres are very soft with weak carcasses as you noted. ![]() Jet Black MCS Lapis leather 17s or 15s (winter) no DSC |

| MINI2 Master | Mike, My dealer, B-K Motors in Waterloo, has the same Dunlop SP WinterSport M3 DSST 195/55R16Hs on 16" 5-spoke 'Daytona' wheels (same as Cooper sports package) for $1995 CND$ installed and balanced (only the tax is extra... grumble grumble). I don't think you'll do that well at tire rack, especially after you add in shipping and the UPS brokerage fees, plus installation fees after they arrive. I suspect that your dealer in Toronto will get the same package -- if they're cheaper, please let me know! Offline | Other Dealer says $1651 on run-flat Dunlop SP Winter Sport M2 195/55/16s on 16" 5 Star Alloys.... Smells like a deal. But what's the dif between M2 and the covetted DSST M3? Anyone? ![]() NY/NE Mod |

| MINI2 Senior | On the surface its simple. ...The M3's are runflats. That said the M3's are also supposed to use a new & better rubber & they appear to have many sipes in addition to an agressive tread (looks meaner than the M2 IMHO). The sipes help the tire stick to ice, and are similar to Michelin's - re: the Arctic Alpin. Mike |
