I'll do a test fitting of a front caliper (weather permitting) one evening during the week to check the wheel clearance, then fit it all properly at the weekend (subject the wheel clearance and/or having the right size wheel shim).

I plan to take pictures and do a write up* in stages.

*So people can understand how inept I am...

For entertainment value, here is a comparison of the new front and rear disks to the original R53 front disk* that's been sat in a corner of the garage for the last 3 years...

*still serviceable - and free to collector along with the calipers and pads.

In tomorrow's installment, test fitting a front caliper to see if R91 Bullets, R95 JCW Spider Spokes, or R105 JCW Double Spokes will fit without spacers...

I wonder how much it would be to just upgrade the front axles? It looks like all you would need is brembo calipers, dics and wear sensors. How much would those three parts be?

You could, but consider that the new rear brakes are larger diameter than the old front brakes.

Might make for "interesting" braking...

Mike are you fitting these on a R53? If so I'll be waiting for your write up as I would add these to my GP.

I understand what your saying Mike, but most if not all BBK's out there are front only. The GTT Porsche big brake kit doesn't make any changes to the rear brake set up and those stoppers are immense!
