None runflats - I don't like them :(

OK so i had some Falken none runflats fitted to my MCS about a month ago.

The ride is slightly better but I must say, I am really starting to regret this choice.

The handling seems to have been effected, more body roll and it is less stable at high speed. Also the steering is lighter, but in a bad way.

Anyone else felt the same when changing from runflats?

What tyres did you go for (what model and size) and what wheels have you got?

FALKEN ZE912 215/45/17

I had S spokes, but now ive got BBS LM's 17 x 8

But the handling was equally crappy with the S spokes before so cant be due to wheel change.

Thinking about putting the runflats back on, I quite liked the way the felt, even if it is slightly hasher.

if you can recall, what runflats where they on there in the first place? And I assume you've done the obvious and checked/adjusted pressures etc?

8 inch wheels are a full inch wider than the S spokes, that will have a bearing on the handling.

Also what offset are your new wheels?

I went 215/40 to keep the stiffness of the runflats, I had no body roll at all and the handling is hugely improved. There is absolutely no way a good performance non-runflat will perform worse than any runflats on the market unless somethings not right.

When talking fails, it's time for violence. ~ batou.
