Hey guys,
I recently installed a set of 185/65/15 General Altimax Arctic tires onto a set of 15" x 6" (4/100) steel wheels. They were balanced and mounted by Canadian Tire. At ~80-100km/hr im getting an ever so slight vibration in my steering wheel. Ive taken the car back to them 3 times now for re-balancing and they even tried rotating the fronts to the back and still, the vibration is there. Im just wondering if I'm being too nit-picky with the ride? Should there be a slight vibration in the steering wheel because of the studs? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated
I have no idea what the diameter of the hub hole is, but no they were not mounted with the rings, and i do know that there is ~3-4mm gap between the hub and the rim hole all the way around
Why would wheel composition have anything to do with whether hubcentric rings are available or would work?

I don't know if you need different wheel bolts, but others running wheels with larger than stock centerbores without hubcentric rings have reported steering wheel vibration at higher speeds.
hmmm, i really have no idea what to do then . Anyone know where i can get a set of steel wheels that would sit flush on my hubs without hubcentric rings?
not yet. its because they would be like $45 and if i spent that on something that didnt work id be choked. I just wanna make sure that there are people out there that have had success with the rings on steelies before i do it.
