Anyone ditched runflats on factory JCW?

I think my next big upgrade will be to ditch all four runflats on my factory JCW and fit non-runflats. Has anone done this already on the stock Challenge rims? If so, what tyres did you fit and did you have to go for exactly the same size as the runflat tyres or can you fit slightly wider tyres?

You can fit: (Tire Statistics Totals)
  1. 205/45-17 (128)
  2. 215/40-17 (89)
  3. 215/45-17 (86)
  4. 205/40-17 (24)

^ Thanks, MINIAC.

So I guess that something like a Goodyear EAGLE F1 Asymmetric 215/45 R17 91Y XL would be a direct replacement for my current Dunlop SP Sport 01 205/45 R17 DSST tyres? As the profile is the same, I presume I won't need to get the instruments recalibrated at a dealership?

Would the extra width cause any problems?

A 215/45-17 tire will be "taller" than a 205/45-17 because the profile and width determine the amount of tire sidewall. Your speedo won't need to be recalibrated. For more info ...
