Cheap EBC brakes - anybody know where?!

Hi All,

I have decided to upgrade my front brakes and discs as they will soon need replacing, and have decided to go with the EBC Greenstuff pads and grooved and drilled discs, however was wondering if anybody could recommend where I could pick up a cheap set from?
Or does anybody know if any of the forums sponsors give us any discount for being a member?

Thanks for you help in advance

Personally i think you should consider having the red stuff pads, as the green ones are ment for a lighter car than the MINI .

i had Red Stuff n my previous car and found that wore much quicker and were only good when they were warm. I found the greenstuff better than oem for sure

I can recommend not bothering with Green stuff. Unless they have sorted the compound out then they are total ***** and eat up discs. I use Yellow front and Red rears and takes a good beating on the track and work great on the road. Even a Green stuff user has driven mine and was impressed at how much better they are.

Simple...... go to GTT and get the spiro slots if you want a good cost effective upgrade. Avoid the word cheap! I have personally crashed a car due to ***** green stuffs so I have strong views on them and have even tried them again a couple of years ago and were still rubbish.

I'm looking at doing the same thing and have a similar thread just above this one.

The ones from GTT were recommended to me too, here they are:

Thanks for the advice guys... have been looking at the GTT website and am now very tempted by the Spiro slot option.
Mini Morgan have you tried the spiro-slots, and may I ask what you are using now?

In the picture on GTTs website, the brake behind the wheel looks tiny? Is this the rear or are they just huge wheels?

Does anybody know if we get any discount at GTT ?! ;-)

That picture on the GTT site is the rear wheel . The open spoke design of those 17" O.Z. Racing wheels does make the MINI brakes look small . The picture is of Roland's car, and he has his Porsche brake kit on the front. Hence the picture of the rear wheel.

EBC is a good brand or no? I never had any EBC brakes in my car.

I'm thinking to buy this set of EBC ULTIMAX:

EBC ULTIMAX REPLACEMNT BRAKE PADS - MINI COOPER AN - MiniMania.com

Just U$ 60,00 the front pads. Are they good?

I just use my Mini as a Daily Car.

Hi, can anybody help me
I am trying & looking to buy the EBC Ultimax front brake disc(product no. USR1489) 294x44x22 for my Mini Works GP.
