Run flat indicator...

Hi,
I have finally purchased my first Mini (Cooper) I love it.. After driving it home my run flat indicator came on, i hav checked the tyres over and they seem ok (not checked pressure or anything tho) I've not had run flats b4 or a mini so what would you suggest i do? Are the indicators quite sensitive? Please advice this happy new mini owner...
Many thanks
Wes

You need to check the tire pressure with a gauge, fill them with air if necessary and reset the Tire Pressure Monitor System.

Check your handbook for the right pressure A MCS is a heavier car so a Cooper may be slightly different.

51 psi, is this on the wall of the tyre as it's MAXIMUM pressure ?

At a guess you have at least one under inflated tyre, mine came on when one tyre dropped to 25 psi.
