wheel recommendations

hi im really interested in some new alloys.. mine are standard 15 spoolers, bit pony, i was thinking 17s heard 18s slow you down and give you a ruffer ride..
id prefer darker alloys that would suit my car(picture below).
thanks in advance.

They are quite expensive but the R90 alloys are fantastic alloys. Supplied by Mini and they come in 17". You can have them in silver or anthracite.

A cheaper option would be the 17" flame alloys which are also very nice.

I would recommend you stick with silver alloys judging from the various chrome components you have on the car. 100% your decision but i think darker alloys would look strange against the chrome. Just my opinion.

18" alloys run pretty well on the GEN2 minis compared to the GEN1s.

my personal prefered wheels size is 16s with good profile i hate low profile tyres. but the stock 17s on my mcs with a 45 profile aint that bad on uneven roads or in wet weather. But im planning a set of light weight 16s for my new set im saving for.

To identify OEM wheels ...

FAQ: What original equipment wheels and tires are available?

I'm looking at doing the same thing but keep in mind the copper(or one) does not have much power so it will change the cars performence. and keep in mind the weight - oem wheels arent light

I would suggest the Night Spoke alloys over the R113. They're very nice alloys and really suit the Mini Ones/Coopers. They are typically found on the convertible special editions.

I would only suggest the R113 alloys if you are going to remove your chrome parts and possibly add the aero bodykit.

The R113 are full on wheels and putting them on a Mini that has various chrome parts and no bodykit...well....i think that would look daft in my honest opinion.
