Hi chaps.
Quick question regarding
MCS brake feel.
I've just bled down my system and flushed with Motul RBF 600, put new mintex pads on the back - GT spiroslots and pads on the front. am fairly certain that there's no air in the system.
Am still suprised how wooly the whole braking experience is - and I was wondering if this is the same across the board and so do I need to go BBK or
JCW to get my brakes to where I want them to be:
I'm finding that, when cold, the initial bite of the brakes is very gradual for the first inch or 2 of pedal travel, which becomes more certain as the pressure increases- compare this to my other car (saab 93) brothers BMW 320d, suzuki swift (that I'vee driven recently) and they all feel much more bite-y from initial pedal movement.
I was wondering if this was similar to everyone else's - and if so - would a
JCW kit give me an improvement in this initial bite, or would I be better going for a brembo GT?!?
thanks for any comments!
Andy
PS - I suppose I want to know: am I flogging a dead horse here - with the standard kit is this as good as it's going to get? or would some better pads (ferodo ds's) make a difference?
