Carbon brakes on standard calipers

Is it possible to fit carbon brakes on standard calipers. I am thinking about redstuff or yellowstuff.

Want them to be road legal. What would you recommend?

Thanks

yellow stuff are very good red stuff are not, these are not carbon brakes, but ceramic pads

if you want real carbon ceramics for the mini ala 911 style, then it will cost about £12k for the movit bbk

carbotech XPs are carbon based pads ... they can be bought via ThikMINI to fit the R53 and R56 I believe. They are awesome, way way way better than anything on offer from EBC or Mintex etc on the stock pads for MINI. I have driven several cars with EBC red and Mintex m1144 m1155 etc and the carbo techs are in a league of thier own.

This is the most unprofessional bit of site management I have seen since I was banned from a certain other site...at least they had the excuse that they were enthusiasts who had strong views and not professionals paid to keep thier cool!

Hi Guys,
The Carbotech pads are truly in a different league in comparison to other aftermarket pads, I have them fitted to my 09 clubbie S using stock disks and calipers and they perform like you wouldn't believe on the street and track days too!
Anyone interested in these Carbotech pads send me a PM.

If you're after discs as well, there's a group buy going on over at Mini Torque, for the Nitrac discs - these coupled with Carbotechs have been found to be the best brake package!

Group Buy: NITRAC Disc Brakes - Mini Torque

The complete brake package? - Mini Torque

Cheaper to get the GTT porshe kit and fit carbotech pads to it. Trust me that really does stop fast as I have seen Lee2 Much in his turbo MINI track car outbrake a testing Jaguar GT race car into corner 1 on a track before.... and Alex has them on his GP speced Cooper S road and track day car

that kit is a total Rip off imo, im will to be a stock mini on carbotech XP10's would out brake it with the pads GTT supplies, im fitting XP10s to my S so i would love to do a back to back, even if i dont manage to out brake it i would be happy to get close with £150 worth of pads, look how well joves car runs on XP10's on the R53 works calipers

Lees is the GTT brakes with xp10s in and bhozar runs xp8s in his and they stop terrifyingly quick IMO and never seem to fade from what I have seen and heard from. Its a balance...the stock brakes with xps are good but the R53 or R56 JCW kits are miles better than stock so like Jove stick Xps in and your laughing. Jove suffered fade even with xps on the stock discs I think so i think he changed to r53 JCW brakes...I might be wrong but I know daves bert track car still managed to fade xps on stock discs and the disc could not dissapate heat fast enough.
