R53 - Brake Sensor Light

Evening All,

Just a quick question regarding my Brake Sensor Light. I have just changed my pads this evening as the current ones were shot to bits and with changing them I also had to change the sensor cable which i've done.

The only problem is that I cant get my orange brake warning light to go out, i've tried leaving it for 30 seconds position 2 and also disconecting the battery but still it is glowing. The only thing is that I havent driven it yet, please has anybody go any ideas?

Thanks
Nick

Hi

I also had this problem a few weeks ago, it worked out that it was a faulty sensor after i had checked everything again, i exchange it for another one from bmw after the guy said that they have around one in every ten faulty!! poped it in and the light went off as soon as i turned the key, just make sure that the connection is pushed all the way in.

thanks
Alan

Looks like this appears to be the problem, just checked the connector and it is clipped in so there isnt anything else it could be.

A new sensor it is then! Thanks.......
