Pure Silver Quick fix for scuffed alloys?

Kerbed my wheels on Thursday and its looking far too untidy for my liking. So angry with myself!

Is there anything i can do as a quick fix until i can afford to have them done properly?

Thanks, K

Ouch...

Good luck getting it sorted.

All the best,

When i did mine ( not quite as bad as yours) I just got some fine Wet and Dry sandpaper a bucket of soapy water and just rubbed down the damaged area. Looked better but not perfect...

You may need a higher grade of paper to get the rough down a bit then use finer. Just be careful you don't catch any other part of the wheel as you do it or it will scratch it...

I bought my mini with kerbed alloys unfortunately, all 4 :/ but I think what I'm gonna do to sort it out is sand them down to a nice smooth surface then repaint them in liqueur White since mine are S-spoke alloys in white

I've used Wicked Wheels to repair kerbed alloys in the past. About £80 a wheel, which isn't cheap, but as I don't have time to do repairs myself, I found them very good. They come to you, and do it all onsite - very good service.

Google them and you'll find them.

Good luck.

Buy yourself one of those cheap engraver/grinders - cost about a fiver. They have grinding pads and polishing pads that will completely remove the scuff. Get yourself a can of BMW silver metallic paint at halfords and spray the blended area. Not rocket science and you'll be surprised at the quality of repair you'll get
