if your budget can stretch have a look into powder coating mate, much nicer and more durable finish

If baked powder coat is not an option, I suggest that you use a 2-part acrylic urethane or 2 part polyester urethane for more durable finish.
Sand it with 800 grit sand paper before painting for max adhesion.

You will be looking at about £200 to have 17" alloys refurbished professionally.

hello,
new to this so bare with me.
I have a 02 cooper with white wheels. Its clear the previous owner has tried to touch me up, badly, so i want them re-sprayed. I would like a high gloss black finish. Any idea how much this would cost professionally??
