When I changed all of my tyres over to new ones the light came on after about 10 minutes of driving.

Best thing to do is make sure all of the tyre pressures are the same, then with the engine off and ignition in the second position (i.e. all of the dash lights on etc) press and hold the button situated under the handbrake.

Whilst still holding the button start the engine. The light on the dash should remain lit, if so let go of the button and start driving after a few seconds it should go out.

The next time it comes on, should mean that one of your tyres has deflated slightly. Check the pressures then re-set as above.

the MINI has gone...

Do you mean the tire pressure warning light, the one that looks like a U with an ! in it? Yes, when I changed my wheels recently (put winters on) the light came on.

To reset it (turn it off), check the pressures first to make sure that none of the tires are actually flat. Next, put the key in the accessory position and hold down the button in front of the handbrake (has the same U ! symbol on it) until the tire pressure warning light turns on solid (if it is already on solid, hold it for 5-10 seconds). Now turn the key off and turn the key on and the light should go out after the normal bulb self-test.

Dark Silver Similar problem with tyre pressure light

hi there, i'm new to the board and i know this is an old thread but i have had a similar problem with my MINI one that i'd like some advice on.
i had my front run flat tyres changed 3 weeks ago and day later the pressure warning light came on. I took MINI back to the garage who told me that this was because the alloys needed refurbing , and the prseeure was down because the tyre could not stick to the wheel.
Now i've only had MINI 3 months so I took it back to the BMW dealer who checked took the tyres off and checked everything and reset the pressure warning light. They told me everything was fine and the light just needed resetting.
it is now a week later and the pressure warning light has come on again, i looked at my front left and it was nearly flat so i put air in to 30psi (it was down to 10psi) and reset the light. All ok, but i looked a day later and the tyre is loosing pressure again, although the light has not come on again yet.
What can this be? Do I simply have a puncture or is this 'tyre detatching from wheel' story the truth....
Any help greatly appreciated.
love polly
