Ireland R53 JCW Brakes - Replacement discs and pads options

Hi, I'm running a 2005 R53 JCW with the stock Gen1 JCW front brakes and the OEM rears. I'm happy out with the performance as I'm not tracking her yet...

Anyway the discs and pads are looking alittle tired in the front and I've decided to give the rears a overhaul at the same time (gonna paint the rear calipers red while I'm at it).

I want to know what my options are with discs and pads front and rear to get the best performance possible without going all out and replacing the brakes completely. I'd also like to put on crossdrillled/groved/slotted style discs mainly for aestectics so what will fit. I'm running on 215/40R18's. I've read in places that the JCW can take the R56 OEM discs but only if it's post 2006 as the bolts are different. Clear knowledge/direction would be great, suggestions appreciated. thanks.

I have these on my R53 JCW and I can't fault them... I have been running them for 2 years and they stop great even when driven hard. And the company is in Ireland

They should be a stright swap...But talk to them I asked them some questions and found them a great help... They came with mintex pads..I did change the brake fluid after I changed the disks and pads the pedal is to the top and a very very positive feel to the brakes. Where in Wlaes are you?

I found the very helpfull when I phoned them.. I just wanted to make sure I had the right ones for my car and that they were drilled and groved and not just drilled. I have them on within an hour of them coming to my door... Next day by the way.......

i am in Caerleon , just outside Newport
i'm new to the mini sceen having come from Audi's and there assoiciated forums .
We bought the Mini last week privately at a very good price so no combacks , but brakes are poor , the washers aren't working and i have a noisy wheel bearing
in at the deep end

I was thinking of the Mintex pads but i see they don't offer a disc's and pads option , will give them a call

If you get down this way you could call in and have a look at my Mini..... My wife works for Audi Bridgend...That's why I have a Mini and not an Audi. It's not that bad to sort out ....Don't take it to Sytner in Cardiff it will cost a lot...Find a good independent garage to do any work for you. What is the mileage on your Mini? I had the disks and pads from them
