DIY Changing Rear Discs, Pads & Sensor(s)

Hi All,

I have a Mini One D - 04. Had it 5 years next month and love it - however just lost my job and money is tight, however my rear brake discs & pads need changing, so tomorrow me and my father in law are going to grab the parts (have checked and are in stock!) and change them however I have a couple of questions...

Is there a brake pad wear sensor on each wheel or just one?

Can anyone point me in the direction of some guides/walk throughs on here or on the net? I've found a few for the front wheels but from reading some of the forums it looks like theres a bit of difference?

Also - a bit random, but we're going to change the fuel filter while we're on and I know its behind the rear driver side wheel arch, but once located how difficult is this to change?

Thanks alot in advance!

Andy

Hi

on the minis there are only two brake pad sensors front left and rear right
Unless you sensor has brought the light on you can get away with out changing it if you carefull. I have been told that the sensors are graduated and that's how it works out how many miles it need till pads are about to be worn out.
Have a look at these link see if there any help to you
