DIY removing front wheel bearing/hub.....

well my missus 55 plate min's front wheel bearing is shot, ive go as far as disc and caliper off, 4 bolts attaching the hub are off, but the hub is seized on, whats the easiest way to get it off??

I would think a little bit of penetrating oil, leave to soak in then apply a little heat and assist it with a puller if you have one.

assuming you took the axle out already(which you will need to do) you can just take a mallet to the back of it and it will pop off. you could put some wd40 on it if you want but its not really necessary

managed it cheers guys, as i got started on it me mate (a mechanic) turned up and gave me some useful advice so is all done and dusted, didnt have to remove the axle, just tool all the brakes and bolts off, undid the hub nut but left attached, tapped the hub nut to release it then beat it off with a lump hammer, all refitted and sorted, runs like a dream now
