R102 16" Wheel question. Stamp markings on back...

Hello,

I have a question for the MINI community to answer. I was just about to post this set of R102 style OEM wheels for sale and I noticed two of them are stamped and marked differently than the other two. Both are marked "MINI" and "Made in Germany" or "Germany" but two have "BBS" stamped in them. Also on the face of the wheel under the center caps two have a "1" on them and two have a "13".

Are two OEM and the other two reproductions? If MINI sources them from two different manufactures could it be possible that they would put them mixed on one original vehicle? These supposedly came off of a Mini Countryman S, sound right? Not as well versed in the Mini parts as I am other makes.

The R102 was the standard 16" wheel fitment for early 2nd Gen Cooper S hardtop models.

I know R85 wheels were sourced for more than one manufacturer ... maybe these were too. Having mixed sets could be possible also.

they did not come from a countryman, the countryman has 5 lug bolts per wheel, not 4

all 8 of my oem wheels say mini and germany (or made in germany)

Many of the people were not knowing that R85 wheels can be sourced by more than one manufacturer. But, How many manufacturers can be sourced for the R85 wheels. What is the maximum limit..?

Interesting. Thanks for letting me know about the lugs. This way I know what model they came from. The finish is very even on all of them so I am pretty sure it is an OEM set of wheels.
