Wales New pads and discs make a knocking noise

Hi

I have a R54 mini one and have had the pads and disks replaced recently front and back. I've noticed a knocking noise from the back of the car since which is most noticeable at slow (10mph) speeds but goes away when i apply the brakes or handbrake.

I took it back to the garage early on where they had a look and t said it is due to the new discs not being worn in enough and should disappear the more i drive. I've done about 800miles in it since this was said but have noticed no change.

Could the wheel bearings make this sort of noise? I wouldn't describe it as a scrape but more of a knock.

Any help much appreciated.

Probably the handbrake linkage? now new pads have been fitted maybe the cable needed taking up a little and they didnt do it??
Just a suggestion especially as you say it goes if you apply the handbrake.
