Ireland Brake pads from dealer

Hi guys iv a brilliant brilliant mini cooper D and I love it I'd an Audi A3 before that and decided to go down to a smaller engine! Anyway bought my cooper in 2012 brand new from Joe Duffy dealer here in Ireland.

Brought it in to them for my first service and they did my sensor break pad have 1600 km left???

I have a TLC package out on my car which is great, what I wanted to ask they are charging me €240 to have my breaks done can I have them done somewhere else cheaper or will my TLC be void! Thank you inadvnce

EU block exemption regulations mean you can have them fitted elsewhere, but they would be expected to use genuine bmw parts and fitted correctly to maintain full warranty cover, use of non genuine parts does not automaticly invalidate the warranty, but any fault which they suspect may be related to the use of non genuine parts may not be covered

Do it yourself & save a fortune, there are loads of tutorials online. Takes a couple of hours depending on how much u clean up, tools you have available etc.

Its best to change your rotors & the pads at the same time. BMW will take £400 pounds off you for the trouble. I recently put on a set of EBC drilled/vented rotors that don't corrode like cheapo minis do and some green stuff pads, they are so much better than stock.
