minimum alloy size, Cooper S

Does anyone know what the minimum wheel size is for a Cooper S 2008 to clear the calipers?

I know 16’s go on, but ideally I’d like to get a set of 15” wheels and winter tyres as they are dirty cheap. With the state of the roads where I live, playing dodge the pot hole is a full time job.

It might look like a shed, but I’d prefer that to bending alloys/suspension components.

No 15" OEM wheels will fit and some 16" OEM wheels won't fit.

If you go with aftermarket wheels make sure they're guaranteed to fit.
