Hi. I'm new to the forum and notice many articles on changing rear discs and pads which I'm now reasonably familiar with.
After owning our 2002 1.6 mini one for 8 months I notice the rear brakes are giving off a scraping sound.
I have had the rear wheels and calipers off and the inboard side if the discs don't appear to be getting the pads pressed against them. All 4 rear pads have about 15mm of friction material left on them
I'm thinking if putting new discs on and pads and hoping that the turning back of the caliper piston will ensure it is free and do the 2 securing Alan bolts get greased to ensure both parts of caliper can move freely
Is this pretty common
Apologies if its been done to death already.
