Here's a couple more from my dealer's "John Cooper Works" MINI Cooper S that they lent me while I was awaiting my replacement MINI Cooper S. It ran on 215x40 18" Michellin Pilots, and he told me that whoever had borrowed it before me, had kerbed EVERY one of them He wasn't very happy.
BTW, even though I too don't like the look of them, they did drive very well. Not that I pushed it though. Just toooooooooooooooo risky!
Wow this topic has been lost in time abit but i thought ide brimng it back up as i love the wheels. Looks like since this post ended they never really sold many sets atal!! Glad i bagged myself some really different style OEM wheels with some history behind them as they were a very limited run and not many people out there realise what they are. Even Sytner Sunningdale ALPINA parts did not even know these existed when i called them!! Worring
Any one know if there is much more behind the Alpina/MINI thing besides the wheels?
Sorry to bring an old post up but very interesting i thought!
Cheers buddy i think so, you can pick these wheels up for good prices if you hunt hard enough. Very rare thats why i love them wont see these many places!
yeah unfortunatley the cheapest ive been able to find them for is 1900ish for the 18" i just cant warrent spending that much so im going to have to settle with some JCW ones.
