United-Kingdom Brake wear sensor or not ?

My 2002 Mini Cooper has just had new front discs and pads, GSF sorted me out with all the bits, including the new pad wear sensor,

I'm doing the job and find that there is no old sensor to take off, so I do the job, go to fit the new sensor, have a good look under the car to see its plug in partner to find there is none, I found the ABS sensor plug, normally the pad sensor is clipped next to it ,

So my question is, did all R50 coopers have sensors or did the early ones not have them ? The rear does not have one too.

I changed the pads & discs on my wifes mini one & I cant remember for sure but I dont think hers had wear sensors. Did you have a light come on to say they were low & is their a light on now ? If not I would say it hasn't got the pad warning

They aren't listed on RealOEM so I assume not. Even on models with the wear sensor I think it was only on one side in those days for a bit of cost cutting.

Some people are like a Slinky ........ not really good for anything, but you still can't help
but smile when you shove them down the stairs

Reading the Haynes Manual I have, the Brake Pad wear sensor is on the inside Brake Pad (If Fitted) so if you didn't disconnect any wires from the calliper and didn't remove a sensor from the inner pad, it would look like your brakes were not fitted with a pad Wear Sensor.
