R56 Recommendations for replacements discs and pads?

Afternoon everyone

Need to replace front discs and pads this weekend, car is an R56 LCI Facelift Cooper S Automatic

Last time I changed brakes, on our old R53 Cooper, I seem to remember Mintex were recommended, so wondering if this is still valid or if another brand is now preferred?

Mintex are still well thought of but they have a lot of pad grades so choose carefully. I use EBC Red Stuff as they work well and have the lowest dust of any decent pad.

Some people are like a Slinky ........ not really good for anything, but you still can't help
but smile when you shove them down the stairs

I am looking at the standard Mintex road pads and standard discs.

141.14 including the sensor from Camskill

I've just put some Mtec discs and Mintex pads on the front of my MCS and they are amazing! I would recommend them to anyone.

Had a look at their website, seem very good and great value for money too, less than 100 for drilled discs with Mintex pads as they are currently running a 10% off promotion on their website.

Have ordered mine, will update this thread once I've fitted them and bedded in.
