Heel and Toe tyre wear

Hi,

Although there are several inconclusive threads about tyre wear and noise, I wondered if anyone has had any definite experience of tyres wearing with a ‘heel and toe’ pattern (i.e. the front edge of the directional tread blocks wearing lower than the rear of the block) and the noise this creates ?

If so, please share ? Did new tyres quieten things down ? What have you done to stop reoccurrence (new shocks, tyre rotation etc.) ?

Cheers, Jim

Yes on a Jag though as the tyres are nearing the end of their life, and it creates a noise like a wheel bearing is on the way out and a slight shimmer to the steering at higher speeds.
New tyres returns all to normal and I was told its fairly common, oh its the design of the suspension they all go like that eventually.

Cheers.....I never had it on the run flats I had on the car, but non-run-flat Avons have worn like it about half way through the tread on the rears :-(
