2008 Mini Cooper

Wondering what the easiest way is to remove the sensors. They are really tight at the disc. I know they supposedly are not to be reused. Do you simply cut the wire and remove the sensor when you remove the pads? Followed by replacement of sensor when pads are installed with rerouting of the new wire? Thanks for the advice!
