Cool Best Tires for R56 Cooper S

Hi all,

I am looking to replace my stock continental run flats and I am considering switching to traditional tires. More specifically, I am looking at either Pirelli Cinturato P7 All Season Plus OR Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3.

Thoughts on either tire or even switching away from the run flats?

Thanks for your help!

Chase

continental, Continental, CONTINENTAL!

I haven't had every tyre in the world to judge but from those that I have had (Dunlop, Michelin, Hankook and Pirelli) I found the Conti's best

Arrow runflats or no it?

I had continental tires stock but I feel like I didn't get a long a life as I would have liked. That could be just because they were run flats.

Anyone have thoughts on other tires and/or run flats?

Thanks
Chase

Yeah, with such different driving conditions, a recommendation from another continent may not be much help. You are probably better to ask the question on a mainly-American forum - most here are Brits..

The only run flats I've ever had are my current Continentals and I really don't like them but I've no idea if it's the make or the type that's the problem. Either way I wouldn't buy them again. The are noisy, harsh and they seriously jump sideways mid corner.
If I was buying tyres tomorrow they would be Michelin Sports or Goodyears.

I think Dunloop and Hancook both are suitable for the R56 Cooper S.I have also this car and i used Hancook tires.Basically i am a mechanic so i fix them personally.I drive this car from two years and tires condition is good now.Its also depends upon your driving that what long you support the tires.
