16" or 17" ?

I want change my 15" wheels by others more big.
But, I'm not decided yet, 16" is enough? Between 16" and 17" have an expensive money difference for me.
And I feel the car a little short in top speed, if I will change the wheels by 17"s the car accelerate best but probably runs less max. velocity.

Your opinions?...

Thank you.

16"s = Better acceleration

Max speed depends on tire size.

If there's a big money difference, get the 16"s!!

Whatever.

Tires generally get much more expensive as the size goes up. Especially for light(ish) wheels. Smaller wheels make sense for a lot of reasons. Money (both initially and to replace tires), weight, ride comfort, performance, etc... 18's look better in my opinion, but you have to decide what matters to you!

No...not a clipse fan. "Grindin" is just a coincidence...actually, never heard clipse. Now I'll have to dl some.

Whatever.

I'd go for the 16"....which is what I did go for. I think they are the best compromise for ride, handling, performance and weight.

Yui - don't fall into the trap of thinking bigger is always better - not about MINI wheels anyway!

Performance and handling is best on 15", although grip isn't... unless you get wider tyres... but MINI knew what they were doing when they chose 15" as the standard wheel size for the Cooper.. and they're running the Racing on 15" too!

17" wheels are considerably heavier than 15"...
