MINI were charging around £80 a wheel to do a repaint when I last asked, they do look like brand new once done though and they were painted all over properly, not just on the outer surface where you can see it.
Some cheap jobbies only do the outsides and dont remove the tyres either.
I would have them stripped and powder coated. The cost (down South) is about £75 - £100 per wheel depending on whether or not they need to be straightened as well. A good alloy wheel refurbishment place ought to be able to check and straighten the wheels if necessary. The condition of the wheels depends on how many miles they have seen, and how you drive over road humps etc......not necessarily because of kerbing!
Not sure about Peterborough area, but my local wheel specialist does refurb, strip the paint back with acid, sand blast and repaint/lacquer for about £65 per wheel.
