I drove a MCS which had the Brembo Gran Turismo (slotted rotors, black callipers) fitted. Very impressive, very neutral with normal use, but it's really anchors out when braking hard.

Cost new: € 3000 incl. VAT and fitting. Currently in negotiation with Digi-Tec for a set together with BBS RK II rims that have been fitted on their demo for 2 months (they get a set of new BBS rims and a new set of brakes as they don't fit their new rims)

More (hopefully good) news by the end of the week

It's euro 3000 (approx. GBP 1900) for the brakes alone! I'm prepared to pay euro 2500 (approx. GBP 1600) for rims + brakes. If DT doesn't accept my offer I'm very tempted to get the Volk rims if I only knew where to get them

Would you mind sharing with me what you paid for them and where you got them?

Cheers

Cost of brakes...

I wouldn't pay more than £200 per wheel for brakes.

That's a total of £800.

The brakes fitted to the MINI at present I think are really great. SO I won't be wasting my money on a 3rd party braking system.

Too many mods to list, PM me if the cat needs killing...

Yeah I know I saw them on tirerack.com

You have any idea how much labour would be involved in fitting?

GBP 1000 is not bad for your rims. Still haven't found a European distributor. Think I don't wanna know what the shipping costs will be

Really wouldn't know SMG. If it's € 150 and DT doesn't accept my offer I would have to try and find some Volk rims and maybe have a brake kit shipped over and have them fitted by my local dealer, would save me some bucks

I agree with the fading, quite annoying when you're pushing it hard (so now and then)
