WOW!!!!!! Cooper tyres for your Cooper!!??

Hi I wonder if anyone has bought Cooper tyres from the Cooper tire co. Ohio.
They are the 8th largest tyre manufacturer in the world.
They have recently bought Avon
They now do high pef tyres in Z ratings with all the low profiles etc.The latest is Zeon2XS
Any good? Don't know but I really fancy a set of Cooper sidewalled tyres for a laugh.
So anyone got a set.

I had a set of four Cooper Cobra tires on my Miata when I bought it used. That was about 7 years ago, but in my opinion they were really crappy tires. Lot's of road noise, poor wet traction, and generally a 'greasy' feel in terms of adhesion. I replaced them with a set of Toyo Proxes tires and the difference was like night and day, the car felt transformed.

Perhaps Cooper is a different company now with better products...

A lot of the stuff on the web site looks very dated but the new tyre pictured looks fairly contemporary and their spec on it seems passable.
Avon tyres ( a big name in UK motorsport) are now called Cooper-Avon which in my view lends a lot of credibility.

I've been offered a set of these for a decent price (in stead of Toyo Proxes), this is the ONLY thread I've found. I take it there's not much feedback on these tyres then?!

I think we will hear more as Avon are advertising the Cooper brand a bit more in the UK.

I was looking at these tires myself as I want to change the runflats. Have owned Coper Tires about 15 years ago. Back in those days they were all season, I think the Lifeliner Classic model.

Not sure in the UK, but in the US Cooper has the policy that you can try their tires for 45 days and if you are not happy you can retunr them.
