Hi have a yellow handbrake warning light on

Will this be a sensor/ low rear brake pads or the handbrake switch itself

would wait until you have driven the car after the rebuild you have done before fixing lights like that some cars vag are really bad for it when ignition has been on with wheels off ground or even if battery goes flat they light up all kids abs traction control lights brake warning lights, you might be chasing something thats not there

have you fixed the rest of it yet,

might be its one of those faults because its only arrived at point of another major fault ie chain snapping but if timing out for some reason this will also look like a sensor fault only thing to do replace sensor if its says its a electrical side of the sensor and not a out of range implausible readings,
i had a strange fault the other day, car had boost pressure sensor fault chased it around for a few hours then done a oil pressure test on the car oil pressure was low, the last owner had done the timing belt on this car and had used a trolley jack to support the engine on the sump,, this was the clue, chain of events the jack had pushed the sump up and closed the gag on the oil pick up on oil pump reducing the oil flow and pressure, this then had reduced the oil pressure to the turbo and gave just enough oil to rotate the impeller enough for low revs up to 2500 revs and after that it allowed the oil floated bearing to run touch the out and cut boost hence the sensor picking up the boost pressure solenoid as the fault code,, so its not always straight forward with these stupidly complicated cars, i seem to end up with these kinds of faults all the time at work, all you can do is to start at A and check everything
