Hi, Just sizing up my chances of getting 195s at the dealership instead of the factory 175s on the stock 15s for a nominal charge. Does anyone have this combo? I'm looking for that happy medium between a reasonably comfortable ride and decent handling. I'm just concerned that the 175s just won't do when cornering hard....
I'd be surprised if a dealer would fit 195s because they are not recommended by the manufacturer. As to whether the 175s will do when cornering hard, will the salesman not let you corner hard in a test drive?
Opinion of grip depends of course on what you are used to but I've found no problem grip wise with the 175's.
I have found the stock 15" tires fine for the street even when driving hard..... once I wear them out I plan to fit slightly wider performance tires (like an H rated tire or better)....
