![]() Boosted | It was a local performanxe tire fitter. Local to me being Bishop Stortford in Herts. J8 M11. The name is Stortford Performance tires. on 01279 466466. they are very good one of the tires they fitted was defective. a very small defect that they never picked up when they fitted them. but when i went in and told them air was escaaping from the side wall they put my car in a changed it imediatly. .: R56 Cooper S : Dyno'd 192bhp :. ![]() .: H&R Springs : JCW Discs : Forge BOV : Alta CAI :. |

Offline | I got 2 new tyes a while ago, cost me about £360 for 2 dunlop 17's (big mistake should of stucj with pirellis), the pirellis where a little more, I'll dig the bill out tomorrow. Have to say they were fitted by BMW garage, only reason they did it was al the other places who quoted me who were all cheaper couldn't guarantee they wouldn't mess my wheels up. I was actually looking at getting 4 non run flat performance tyres at the time to, as they were only slightly more expensive than just replacing with 2 run flats. They said either: a)can't remove runflats don't have equipment b)we can do it don't need equipment (but wouldn't guarantee they wouldn't damage my wheels and would replace damaged wheels if they did) So had to go with BMW who's tyre prices for 4 performance made it daft. (plus he gave me the speel about run flats being a lot safer during a blow out which did him out of money as was going to get eagle f1's of him) ![]() |

Offline | Damo, What is your objection to the Dunlops ? Born a Michelin man, I changed - before delivery - the factory fitted Pirelli Euforia's for Dunlops 9000. (after doing some research in this forum). They are a bit noisy but awesome in the wet. M. ![]() very "Works". |

Offline | Obviously on the 17"s and for two... BMW - £390 Micheldever Tyres (M3 and A303 junction) - £256. I eventually bought 2x Pirelli PZero asimetricos (non-runflats) for £211 & balancing etc. I think it was £235 all up. |

Offline | BAre in mind I have dunlops on front and pirellis at rear: The dunlops did feel better in the wet at first but considering i went from 2mm tread to 9mm of tread thats to be expected. I don't think though theyre significantly better in the wet than the pirellis where. In the dry however pirellis were defo better (Imo) and have certainly got a better ware rate (spelt wrong probably) as I did 20k miles on them using 7mm of tread. I've done 4k miles on these using 4mm of tread. ok its not an exact science, but I felt the car felt better on all round pirellis. Just my opinion mind. ![]() |

Offline | The dunlops cost me £368.97 for 2 fitted balanced etc. as I said couldn't find anywhere in NW who had equipment for runflats other than BMW dealers. The pirellis were £2 per tyre +VAT more so would of been £373.65. As i said aswell wanted 4 non runflats but no one could even remove my tyres ![]() ![]() |
