Question Need Help Choosing New Tyres

I was wondering what the best (cheap) proformance tyres are?

i dont want fancy alloy wheels, anything will do as i will change the tyres before and after trackday like events.

The reason i ask is because the runflats are heavy and i feel they are limiting the cars preformance, correct me if im wrong? (eg i know a ford focus 2.0 that corners better...)

What size would be best? or is it a case of bigger is better?

Im also not made of money so i need to compremise between proformance and cost...

Has anyone had experience with other tyres or is in hte same situation? any help greatly appritiated,

Dec

p.s if there is another thread the same that i havent found in the search could u please post a link, thanks

Here is a thread on tires for track and street use: http://www.mini2.com/forum/showthrea...threadid=25914

It is in the racing MINIs forum. If track use is your main concern then you might want to repost your request in that forum.

Also look for Garfield's performance threads where he compares various wheels and tires for that purpose.
