Question Keeping those wheels clean

I have a MCS, white wheels on the way. How dirty can I expect the wheels to get. Right now I have a VW, so I'm accustomed to dealing with inordinate amounts of brake dust.

Take the amount of brake dust you get with your VW and multiple it times 10(I'm not joking, my girl drives a VW and her wheels always look spotless compaired to mine and I'm always cleaning mine) Best bet is to change the pads if you get tired of dealing with brake dust, especially with white wheels.

The solution is to wipe some cooking oil onto the wheels.

Cooking oil? I've never heard of that. I've put wax on wheels before, that seems to help. To Lucky: Does your girlfriend have alloys or steel wheels?

Yup, light cooking oil. Just make sure it doesn't get on the brake rotors.

My friend has white wheels on his R/W MCS. They get VERY dirty, quickly. I had silver wheels on my MC and they got every bit as dirty as the white. With the white, the dust seems to show up a lot quicker (although both wheels show the same).

Cleaning... I say get a brush. Long-term... Look into EBC Greenstuff pads.
