Volks Racing wheels ?

Does anybody know the weight of these wheels?
CE28N 16 x 7
Gram Light 57C 16 x 7
I can't find any weight info from their website.

Are these best matched with 205/50/16 tyres?
I'm thinking of getting a set of Advan AD07 to go with it.
Has anybody tried these tyres?

The ce28n 16 x 7 is going to weigh about 10lbs (4.5kg)---a 15x7 is 9lbs, a 17x7 is 12lbs. The gram lights will be a bit more---I think the gram lights are cast not forged, anyone?. Look in the FAQs for a tire guide. IMO, go with something close to the stock 16" tire. You can go wider to a 215 if you like.

205/55/16 is a little large for this car.

the ce 28 is indeed in the 10-11lb range. TonyB has a set in 16inch on his car.

the Gramlight 57C are indeed cast all the way, i believe the Gramlight Pros are forged outer and cast inner and then seamlessly welded together.

Sorry, I meant 205/50/16.

Thanks for the info!

how does the two piece wheel, eg Gram Light Pros differ to other 1 piece forged wheels in terms of strength??

since the Gram Light Pros is similar in price to CE28N.... if its heavier not stronger, why bother with a two piece design??

don't get too confused by the two piece one piece thing. in fact many of Volks wheels are 2 piece. they forge the outer lip using a different process to make them stronger then they forge (or cast) the inner rim and join the two together.

i'm pretty sure the gram light pro is heavier, so that would make it stronger then the CE28. Not to say the CE28 is not strong, but it is still an 11lb rim. If you have the Gramlight Pro or the TE37 (which are both forged), they weigh 2-3lbs heavier so they'll be a little stronger.

and obviously if the inner part is bolted on, you can replace the outer if you dent them.
