| MINI2 Newbie | Wheel opinion I just ordered a 04 MCS and I am trying to find a set of 17s for when the spring comes (I won't be taking delivery until December or January.) I have always liked Konig...and I just saw these. What do you think? They will be fitted onto a Dark Silver with black top MCS. Thanks. http://www.wheelsnext.com/product.phtml?p=258 Picture added by Moderator: ![]() Last edited by MINIAC : Oct 27th, 2003 at 06:57 PM. |

| MINI2 Newbie | That is what I was thinking. I am not sure how it would look an any other color combo, But I think the dark silver would go so nicely with the inside of the wheel...and the polished lip would differentiate the wheel from the fender/body. I can't wait for my car to get here already! |

Offline | I hope this isn't considered hi-jacking this thread but has any one got experience of Konig wheels. I'm also interested in them but I have never seen any and can only get them mail order so I don't have a clue about their quality. |

| MINI2 Newbie | Not a hijack at all. Back in the day, I used to be into VWs and many of the people I talked to or hungout with had Konigs. All of them never had a problem with the wheels. They were fairly light (not the lightest out) but were very very strong wheels. I live in northern NJ and during the winter there are some rather large potholes to deal with and none of them ever bent a rim. Also the finish on the rims never tarnished. Now, this is going back some 10 years or so. I have not known anyone since that have had a set fitted to their car, but I would imagine that the quality has not degraded. I personally would buy them in a heartbeat, hence the reason for my original post. ![]() |

Offline | Any wheels that can survive in America will find our roughest roads a breeze. Thanks for the advice I can feel a set of Holes getting closer provided I don't melt the plastic on holiday in Canada. |
