expensive tyres!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

why the hell does the mini have such expensive tryes, just went to get some petrol and came back with a big f*** off bolt in my one's tryes. £91.91 to get a new one, plus no one stocks it as its a rare tyre. worst of all you dont get a spare, i fail to see how some gel and a compressor is going to fix this one.

£91.91 sounds OK for retail for one of these tyres. Remember, the big chains such as ATS, Kwik-Fit etc have "Full Retail" prices which will probably be in the region of £130-£150. That said the only problem is availability of the tyres.

Is that for 15"? If it is then is is very expensive. They are about £45 each on www.mytyres.net but you may not be able to wait by the sound of your puncture.

That seems like a very good price!! Were they from a well known dealer or an independent stockist?

that mytyres.co.uk site gives the price of 16" Goodyear NCT Runflats as £93.50 all in delivered. The more expensive Ultra Grip ones are still only £106 each.

I've got the 15" Holies also, just passed 25,000 miles when I put the snows on. My fronts (tires never rotated, shame on me) were down to the wear bars, the backs appear to be between 50% t0 75% good tread. I was lucky to find another local MINI owner that picked up a full set of 7 hole w/ OEM Continentals on them to use the rims as winter stock (he tossed a set of Michelin Alpins on the rims). I purchased the tires, still in brand new condition, for $110.00. Not a bad deal. Look around for people that are selling take-offs, try eBay etc. May not be of much help for immediate use now, but will ensure a set of replacements in the future.

Cal me paranoid...I've also picked up a set of correct color bumber skins off of eBay for my base Cooper. Sooner or later someone is going to tag me, but I'll be ready.
