Source for compatible spare tire & wheel??

Howdy. I'd appreciate some feedback...

Replaced the S-lites on my S with SSR Comps and Toyo T1S's (non-run flats) shortly after getting the car about a year ago. Put 'fix-a-flat' in the back/boot and figured I'd keep my eye on the tire pressure (actually relative wheel RPM) idiot light. Then last week hit a pothole on the way to work - pretty deep and sharp for Southern California. Seriously bent and cracked the front wheel, lost pressure in about three seconds. Yikes - these are forged wheels! The back wheel is slightly bent and very likely repairable.

Being stranded is not good. So I'm interested in getting a compatible space-saver spare, presuming it would be difficult and/or expensive to get an official Mini spare. The bolt pattern (4x100), offset, and hub flange (56.1) need to match, and it needs to be at least 15". I tried a MX-5 Miata 14" spare (approx 20" rolling diameter); bolt pattern ok and it fits vertically behind rear seats, but it's too snall to fit on front due to caliper; looked like it would fit on back but the wheel hub flange was a skosh small - could have filed it out but figured a 15" would be a better bet.

So - does anyone know what commonly available Original Equip space-saver spares will work????? E.g. Honda bolt pattern matches but I think hub flange doesn't.

BTW I think I'm going to go to 16's and taller tires - 205/60 vs. 215/40.

Thanks for reading and any wise words!!

I actually don't think the space saver would be too expensive - From a junkyard... I know people have gotten engines from junkyards, the space savers should be easy to get as well.

Of course, I have no idea what junkyards are collecting MINIs in the US, and of course you'd need to find one that had a cooper, but at least all of them have spares.

Magic 8-ball was correct. All be in awe of Magic 8 ball.

I gave up on my quest and got the OEM version. I think it came to $115 at the dealer. What I hate now is deciding when to take it and when not too. It just takes up too much space in the car (you can't even fit it in the back without removing the privacy flap--too tall by a tiny amount). Almost makes me wish we had got a regular MINI with the real spare tire fitting. Argh.

Shouldn't be hard to find the factory spare... dont know where in CA you are, but dealers in Bay Area (No. Calif) have them in stock, i.e. Mini of Mountain View has a bunch in stock.

Spare Wheel + Tire
P/N: 36101508367
$100 +/- from dealer

MCS Jack (If you have an '02)
Jack P/N: 71-12-1-501-930 -- $16
Bag P/N: 71-11-6-762-181 -- $9
Lug wrench P/N: 71-12-0-840-674 -- $11

And I can get it to fit in the back, w/privacy flap in place...no problem?!
