| MINI2 Regular | Couple of Newbie questions on Wheels and Tyres Hi all, I am a totally newbie in car parts so bare with me on this questions: After browsing through the wheels gallary and information sties about wheels, just would like to hear some suggestions from you guys... a)what will be the lightest wheels suitable for the Mini S , I will be looking at 17" X at least 7.5" b)what will be a good match for the 17" X 7.5" or even X 8" , 215 X 40 ? any suggestion for a all rounder( good grip on wet and dry conditions, moderate duribility life), my travel will be mostly on urban city roads(fairly flat type roads, expressways etc.) c)does Mini S take any offsets measurement wheels or only certain offsets? Thank you guys,I am learning everyday on cars solely on this GREAT site!!! And its all from the posts from all of you... Best regards |

Offline | First I recommend reading the FAQs associated with the WHEELS & TIRES forum: http://www.mini2.com/forum/faq.php?f...q_wheels_tyres You can scan the Aftermarket Wheel Gallery for lightweight 17" wheels: http://www.mini2.com/forum/showthread.php?t=35500 Two 17" x 7.5" wheels not shown in this gallery are the SSR Comp at 13.0lb and Volk CE28N at 12.4lb. The lighter the wheel the more they cost ![]() |

Offline | Check out the Volk CE28N entry I added to the AWG today: http://www.mini2.com/forum/showthread.php?p=682829 When purchasing aftermarket wheels for the MINI, hubcentric rings are often required to give the wheel a 56.1mm centerbore. |
