Yokohama Prada Spec-2 now available in the UK

I have been looking into replacing the OEM 17" runflats for something a little better . After reading and seeing some US posts here on the Prada SPEC-2 tyre I gave Yokohama UK a call.

Apparently they have been type approved for the UK and became available last week. Obviously there will be limited supply and certain sizes are still being shipped but good news for anyone interested in this new product. It is a very cool looking tyre

I asked about the supply of a 205/45/17 and because these won't be in the country fro another 3 weeks, he didn't have a price. He did however gauge it against the current AVS tyre and quoted £114 + VAT. SO something along the £115 mark will won't be far out he said.
Remember these prices are direct from Yokohama so should be cheaper from third party suppliers. I have MyTyres.co.uk looking into getting me prices.

thats where I was going to buy from but really don't know what is best, I want something that is not going to wear out in 10,000 miles, something that gives me improved grip, and that looks sexy

I got 19,000 out of my Pirelli runflats

Because they are such a new tyre to the UK market, I think a magazine review may be sometime off. However, they have been available in the US for a while and some guys even use them on here. I searched various US sites for reviews and it gets good write-ups.

All we need is Evo magazine to do a tyre test and include Yoko's Pradas

So now the decision comes nearer, I need to decide Runflats or something tasty like these, but you know me and my mods, I do like the idea of something tasty looking
