Offline | Former GY RS-A 205/45/17 owner's seeking advice on previous owners of this tire for comparison to their new sets. i currently have the gy, but am considering changing them for bridgestone re750 215/45/17. i only have about 1k miles on the gy and they do feel heavy, but the ride doesn't seem that bad. going over the lane bumps is actually quite nice. since they are heavy, acceleration and braking seems much slower than it should. any advice out there for owners who made the switch? please advise your new tires w/size and any positives or negatives compared with the gy rs-a. much appreciated! |

Online | Goodyear Eagle RS-A's are all-season tires and Bridgestone Potenza RE750's are summer tires. Assuming you're aware of this ... Looking at 215/45-17 size in the Tire Statistics: Yokohama AVS ES100 tires are the most popular ... these are the "best bang for the buck" ($100 at the Tire Rack). Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3 are next ... these are almost the same price as the Bridgestone's you're considering ($137 versus $136) and have a higher performance classification (Max versus Ultra High). Offline | thanks for the feedback. yes, i'm aware of the rs-a being all-season. one of the reasons i chose the rs-a over the performance tire was due to the price of the tire itself. the rs-a sells for over $200 at tirerack so i figured it may be easier to re-sell these for a higher price vs the performance efurori's. the main reason i'm considering the bridgestone re750 is because i had them on my honda(actually re730) and they were great tires. lots of grip and excellent wear rating. someone on nam mentioned the ride was worse after swapping to avs es100 from rs-a's so i'm a little skeptical on the yoko's for now. |

Offline | Yes, the ratings are consistently high across the board which is why it's number 1 on my list right now. I was hoping to hear more feedback from former gy owners who made the switch to non-runflats. oh well, I may have to make the move w/o any feedback. |
