best wheel/tire/car fit !?

I have been considering 225/45/17s ever since I saw pkrehbiel's ride, best wheel/tire/car size match I've seen!

Just wondering do you need to lower the Mini for it to look right?

Since the 225 is .7 inches taller I don't think lowering the car is needs and it's almost an inch wider.
My 215s fill out the wheel well nicely.

Since the r90 have a 48 offset, and the wheels I'm considering have an ET of 40, my tire would extend further out from the wheel well (8mm more, right?).

Should I use a 215 size to acheive a similar look?
I also have to check the Swiss laws on lowering
I guess without lowering the 225 oughta fit.
hmmm...

I'll have to PM pkrehbiel to see if he used shimswheel spacers.

That combination will get you out there. 225s may be too much.
My 215s on a stock 48 ET fill it out nicely. With the wife, daughter and a boot full of groceries I don't have any problems with interference.
Sorry I don't have any pics of that combo. I just realized that so now I'll have to take some pics.
