| choice 2 if u don't give a damn about weight too much... funny that they are very cheap compared to around here.. i think it was around $6000 with tyres and fitting these darn expensive for nothing wheels. for this kind of money u could get HRE wheels.. or like me order Advans well the second choice would be the OZ due to the fact that its light.. but i would prefer it in a 17 inch trim, why? u need some kind of compromise |

Hi there -- I am faced with the same dilemma as I am kind of touting around for wheels at the moment for when I have shredded the tyres on mine -- only difference is I don't have a brother who can get me 25% off BMW bits and pieces For aftermarket wheels I think the Super-L's look fantastic and are one of my very favourite choices.. There are some USA wheels I really like - Flik Wasps but you can't get them in the UK If I were spending £400 per wheel then there would be only 1 choice and that would be Hartge Classic Wheels (NorthAndy has these) -- In my humble opinion they are the peachiest wheels you can buy for £1,800 notes and I would love a set, but at £1,200 for 18" Super-L's thats a big saving Have a look at them before you choose. Good luck, happy shopping ------> I have a Gen1 Works S and I'm proud of it <------ |

| I think the JCW wheels look the nicest, and these would be my first choice. I'd probably end up going for the Superleggeras due to their weight, and most importantly, they look very nice. ![]() 2006 MINI Cooper with JCW Sound Kit - sold July 2009 Now driving Golf VI GT TSI 1.4 160PS |

| A word of advice - go for 17" Wheels. I was advised to do so by people with 18" wheels and I wish I had listened to them. Yes they look the biz but they're just not practical in the real world. You will dent them or even buckle them. They is no avoiding it due to the roads. |

| I have the JCW' 18" and live in aa area that has terrible roads, upstate NY. Was recently traveling on the Jersey turnpike and hit a storm drain at about 70mph .... the crunching sound was defining but the offending wheel and tire made it unscathed. The JCW wheels may not be the lightest but they are definately strong. Go for the 18" JCW's. |

| Thanks for all the comments guys, I'm still a bit confused though. To make matters worse I have investigated the hamann wheels and found that I can get a set of 17'' with tyres for around £800!!! not bad at all!. Why is there such a huge difference in price between the 17'' and the 18''? I will be lowering my suspension too and am fully aware how this will no doubt affect ride quality. I only drive a few miles to work, so ride quality is not a huge issue. If I went for the JCW Wheels I feel I would be doing this more for the price than anything else. Wibbly, I have seen the hartge wheels - YES, they are gorgeous and VERY expensive - around £1800 + VAT. I would like to keep to about £1100 as the top of my budget, so I am ruling out the 18'' Hamanns, but am know tempted by the price of the 17'' Hamanns. I am concerned that the 17'' Hamanns may look to small though, as split rims tend to look an inch smaller than non split-rim wheels. So final desicion is (in no particular order): 1. 17'' Hamanns 2. 18'' OZ Superleggaras 3. 18'' JCW Alot of you guys seem to like the JCW wheels though.. HELP!!!!! jibajiba!!!! Aaaaggghhhh!!!! LB. |

| Hey, I think at the end of the day you need to make your own mind up what you like best ![]() You've got it down to three so keep looking and make sure you get the ones YOU like best... After all you've got to live with the car. Great fun tho isn't it trying to decide ------> I have a Gen1 Works S and I'm proud of it <------ |

| deciding on what set of wheels to buy is very tricky.. wheels make such a big difference to the overall appearance of the car. sorry to make you even more confused.. but in my opinion Kahn wheels are the best! Either the RSS or the RSC, both look great on the mini.. I have attached some photos for you... for pictures of these wheels fitted to a mini, go to the kahn website.. www.kahndesign.com |

| Thanks jonsimons I have considered the Khans - they do look amazing, especially the RSC IMO but have decided against them due to their weight and secondly I don't think the RSC would suit my EB/W MCS (see my gallery) I think they would defo suit a silver, black or grey mini though. I'm really considering the Hamann HM4's in a 17'' at the moment but am worried that if I get them I might wish I had gone for a set of 18''. My head is spinning!!!!! Oh, by the way - anyone interesting in buying my 17'' white S spoke, they are not officially for sale yet but when I get my new wheels they will be!! Cheers, LB.
