BK Racing 299 in Cr finish 18" x 8" fitted today

Just collected my new wheels today so heres a piccy .

18" x 8" with Kumho (budget) tyres. After all the stuff on hard ride and handling with 18" wheels I haven't noticed anything significantly different from my 16" five stars with the factory run-flats. The price including tyres and fitting etc was under a grand, pretty reasonable considering the 1800 quid that the BMW split rims are in 17".

I can add more piccys on request, be easier if I could work out how to use the gallery

just to add, Kumho are a very good reliable make of tire and very cost effective too. I wont be going back to Pirelli

those wheels look lovely. you'll be parking like 3 feet away from kerbs now. hehe

I've had white 5 star wheels on there for 18 months, it can't be much harder than those

Maybe the next car, though the clearence is tricky with 18" I hear. These wheels are mostly to go on the new MCS ordered for December, I just got them early so I didn't have to buy new tyres for 6 months use.

Imagine them on Black Eye Purple all over, Aero kit, colour coded arches, 4 spots, I'll look into lowering too now you got me thinking

lowering on 18's is no problem, eibachs and no scrubing at all, that what i would recommend, you can lower it more, but if you like your front bumper then i'd b careful of goin more than 20mm.

OK some more piccies, tried to put them in the gallery but it carked after uploading 5 (and not of my MCS) so I had to stick em on an external link and I don't know how to thumbnail them. Sorry for the slow loading....

Anyone in the midlands interested in a good deal on wheels give Rick a bell @ LSG(Northampton) 01604 720906. I got quoted 1150 on 18" Superleggeras while I was in there - including tyres VAT etc etc.

And thanks for the nice comments, might go out for another drive now

With 5 Stars

Bling, Bling..

Very nice they look awsome with the DS.

one word of warning though, make sure you have some quality locking wheel nuts, not saying there is anything wrong with the mini ones but look around the threads, there are some sad stories of folk driving round on bricks..

Enjoy and be safe..

Billy

Sorry I took so long to respond to the question( 1 1/2 hrs!), but I haven't checked in here for a while.

They were £999 incl VAT and Kumho Ectsta tyres. I didn't think that was bad as I was gonna have to get 2 new runflats if I kept the old wheels.

The tyre place was a local one (in Northampton) and they were in the day after I ordered them. Anything else just ask I'll be keeping an eye on here again. I need to ask about your Eibach springs too. I am hoping to lower my next car (coming in December) and I'd like to know how much I can lower without rubbing. Was it an expensive job including the fitting, not something I'm gonna do myself

Ta,

Nick

Does or is anyone run/ning theses wheels all year round.I'm just wondering how they'd stand up to a British winter.Look really cool and only a bit more than the s spokes i've got on order for september 05 build.
