I heard that 17 are the biggest tires that will work on a 02 mini cooper. Can someone tell me the maximum size the wheel wells will allow? And will these.... http://www.wheelsnext.com/product.phtml?p=709 work? Thanks

There are lots MINI2ers running 18" and few with 19" aftermarket wheels:

lots of people run 18's and lowered without a problem including myself, 19's and lowered possible as well with out work, but your pushing it there!

Thanks for the help. I had seen that gallery before but wasnt sure if anyone had to have their wheel wells enlarged to accomidate larger wheels. I could have sworn I read in my manual or something that the largest wheel it could use was 17. Im glad to see that 18's wont be a problem . Now I've just got to save up for those prophets.

I hope those rims don't weigh to much. Would be like carrying around 4 round peices of lead on your car.
